Euromoney Names Standard Bank As Best in Malawi

Euromoney, the world’s leading capital markets and financial services think-tank has named Standard Bank Plc as the Best in Malawi in 2026 along with 17 other accolades conferred to various Standard Bank Group’s operations in 12 African countries.

Overall, under the 2026 Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence, Standard Bank Group’s operations have been singled out for leading in setting the global standard in performance, innovation and client impact. in investment banking services and large corporate banking and ecosystems services this year.

Reacting to the recognition, Standard Bank Chief Executive Phillip Madinga said this award reflects the Bank’s commitment to driving sustainable growth in Malawi and delivering innovative financial solutions that best meet the evolving needs customers.

“This award is a testament of our team’s dedication and unwavering commitment to providing our customers with the best services tailored to suit their financial needs. It also reflects the trust that Malawians place in us as their best financial service provider,” he said.

For over 30 years, the Euromoney’s Excellence Awards have been the most sought after and prestigious awards by banks globally, with entries from over 100 countries and 600 banks each year.

The Malawian accolade is part of a broader success for Standard Bank Group, which received multiple awards across African countries such as Tanzania, Mauritius, Kenya, Ghana, Botswana and South Africa. at the 2026 Euromoney Awards
